All students are encouraged to join at least one club or organization to meet, lead, and learn from others.
ASA has over 50 middle and high school clubs. Dean of Students Kristi Kleiser, oversees all student extracurricular/ club activities at ASA.
Don’t see a club that interests you? Don’t worry, you can start your own! Just download and complete the Middle School Club Proposal Form. If your proposed club is approved, it will be scheduled on the 5th-8th Grade Clubs Calendar. All club leaders must contact their faculty advisors before doing anything (no posters, etc.).
*Both 5th-6th Graders can participate in clubs, but only 6th graders can propose new clubs.

Being an ASA Ambassador entails a variety of things. Through an annual application and interview process, students are chosen based on their leadership skills, ability to interact enthusiastically with the public, and willingness to support and represent ASA. Ambassadors are also chosen for their ability to critically view and improve the school. As a Student Ambassador, it is your job to give the public insight into life at ASA through the point of view of a student leader.

The National Foreign Language Honor Societies are academic honor societies focusing on French and Spanish studies in secondary education. They provide opportunities to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of these languages through selection and membership and the wearing of their corresponding cords at graduation. There are opportunities for members to lead, organize and participate in community service. Members may serve as officers directing the initiation ceremony and/or leading other chapter events.

StuGo – The mission of StuGo is to design and execute events to promote the community of the school. The events that Stugo design and execute are: socials, assemblies, fundraising, and community services. StuAc – StuAC seeks to provide student outlets to improve the on and off campus lives of the students and wider ASA community through community action, service, and policy recommendations. StuAC also looks to serve as a conduit for student concerns to the administration of ASA.

Students Against Stigma is a club dedicated to educating about, raising awareness for, and eliminating the stigma that surrounds mental health and neuro atypicality in our society. SAS provides a safe space for students to come together to discuss mental health, find a support system of other students, and volunteer and connect with community partners.

This year we’re aiming to enrich the lives of our community and the Phoenix community by using Theatre as a powerful outreach tool. We will provide free workshops, volunteer services, and gifted resources to schools with diminished arts programming. We will provide continuous support to ASA’s coalition as we plan to play a major part of ASA’s equity initiative. We will foster strong alliances with other clubs by providing an extra arm of advertisement and man power. We will maintain high Thespian Honor Society standards by representing ASA in the region through excellence in Theatre practice standards at local Thespian festivals. We will aim to maintain the earned title of Gold Troupe.

The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.

The mission of VisArts is to provide an outlet for expression through the visual arts as well as foster the individual passions of its members. VisArts creates spaces for the discussion and practice of drawing, painting, sculpting, crafting, etc. and is open to collaboration on any and all projects that can benefit from a keen eye for the aesthetic.
