School Volunteer Leadership Group
ASA values the involvement of parents and guardians in the school community. That’s why we have the ASA Parent/Guardian Committee (ASA PC), which allows families to stay connected and contribute to the school’s success. ASA PC is a group of highly engaged parents who meet monthly to organize volunteer efforts, keep families informed of activities, and bridge communication and connection on ways to support the school. ASA PC members work closely with the Head of School and the Development & Marketing Department on school community needs. ASA PC members also organize contributions and volunteer efforts for events such as professional development lunches for faculty and staff and Teacher Appreciation Week in May. They may also support other events and activities as needed or when requested. We typically recruit Grade-level Parent Coordinators at the beginning of each year.

School Community Safety
Some volunteer opportunities require an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, depending on how much time you’ll spend with students or the type of role. If you’ll be on campus regularly, or in certain other cases at ASA’s request (we’ll note this requirement in the volunteer descriptions as often as possible), you’ll need a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card from AZ DPS. Apply at psp.azdps.gov ($67 fee, no sponsor code needed), then schedule fingerprinting through Fieldprint. Cards take a few weeks to process and are valid for six years.
