All: Feminist Alliance is collecting feminine hygiene products starting May 8th and ending the last day of school, May 22nd. The collection box will be on the first floor of south. Please contribute boxes of pads and tampons of any and all sizes! Everything will be donated to Go With the Flow, an organization that makes period packs for schools around Arizona.

All students in 7th & 8th grade Ballet Foundations 2 and Intermediate Dance will attend a combined rehearsal on Wednesday, May 22 in the B207 dance studio from 1:20- 2:15 pm. Please report to B207 directly after lunch. You will need to come underdressed in your ballet attire as rehearsal begins at 1:20 pm.

7th & 8th BF2 and Intermediate Dance will have a combined rehearsal at AZO on Tuesday, May 21. Please board the bus directly after lunch. Rehearsal will finish at 3:15 pm for Intermediate Dance and 4:00 pm for 7 & 8 BF2. Pick up is from AZO for 7th & 8th BF2 and Intermediate Dance.

Grades 5-12-Diner Night is almost here! On May 10th, meet by the ASA bandshell from 7 to 9 and enjoy the incredible talents performing. Tickets are available on School Pay for $5 or $7 at the door (cash or card are both accepted). Kona Ice and other concessions will be available for our amazing audience members. Join us for Diner Night on May 10th, we hope to see you there!

Attention all Prom attendees: With the closure of sales of our Prom tickets, we wanted to remind you of a few details. With your purchase, your name or guest’s name has been added to our guest list. We will check you in with that list on the night of Prom. Doors open at 8pm, with it ending promptly at 11pm. Please arrange your rides home in advance. There is limited parking in front of the Sands building at the Hotel Valley Ho, but there is free off-street parking and you can pay for valet at the hotel entrance. All guests that are not ASA students, must bring a photo ID to check-in. We can’t wait to dance the night away at this year’s Masquerade!

Grades 5-12-ASA’s Spirit Week is back! The week of May 6th, participate in our spirit week, show up in any of your favorite superhero gear for Marvelous Monday, wear your bright colors for Tie-dye Tuesday, yeehaw to Western Wednesday, and remember the good ol’ days for Throwback Thursday. Finally, funk it up for Funky Friday and then head to Diner Night from 7 to 9pm on May 10th, the Kona Ice Truck will be here. Hope to see you then!

Grades 8-12-Europe 2020! We are pleased to announce another exciting trip coming up during our 2020 Spring Break for any interested high school student. From March 13 to March 21, 2020, we will explore Spain (Madrid, Cordoba, and Seville) and Portugal (Lisbon and Algarve) on a Passports Educational Tour. Be at the door 10 minutes before exam time. Make a change in your community! Donate blood at the NHS Blood Drive on April 17th! You must be 16 years or older to donate. Schedule appointments with Margaret Shepherd, Megan Teramoto, or Mr. Steinert. If you are under 18, you need to fill out a minor donor permit form when scheduling your appointment. Just taking a few minutes to donate blood can save a life!

All: Advocate for Change is participating in the Red Wagon Round-Up Drive for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital! Starting this Thursday, April 4th and ending on Monday, April 15th we will be collecting canned items and perishable food goods in boxes around campus to benefit the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. There is a collection box in every building, so donate for a good cause! Join Advocate for Change– we meet every Thursday during lunch in Mrs. Brown’s room (South 415)!

All: It really is starting to feel like summer! Kona Ice wants to support ASA and will be on campus this Friday April 5th at dismissal! From 3-5pm Kona Ice will be selling shaved ice cups to support ASA Cross Country and She’s the First! Cups range from $3-$6 depending on size. Bring cash Friday and teachers, head on out at 3pm before dismissal to be at the front of the line!

7-12: Students Against Stigma is hosting Teen Lifeline on campus Wednesday, April 24th for a student workshop on depression and suicide prevention. The workshop will occur right after school on that Power Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:15 in South 311. SAS would like any and all interested students to attend, but unfortunately, spots are limited AND permission slips are required! Swing by Ms. Bellian’s room (North 108) to grab a permission slip from the folder by the door. To return a permission slip and reserve your spot in the workshop, please make sure to hand it IN PERSON to Ms. Bellian (9th Grade English) by no later than Monday, April 22nd!
