2/5/19 2/8/19 Grades 7-12: This year, 200,000 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. They are the second leading cause of cancer deaths in young adults and the number one cause in children through high school. Because their cause is unknown, brain tumors cannot be prevented, and the cure rate is significantly lower than for most other types of cancer. Come to Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research this Friday at lunch in Mr. Steinert’s room to hear from the founder of SSBTR and learn more about how you can help support brain tumor research.
2/4/19 2/7/19 All School: Habit Burger is supporting ASA’s Cross Country Team! Please gather your family and friends and have dinner at the Habit Burger on 7th Ave & McDowell this Thursday, February 7th. Between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, 20% of proceeds will be donated to the ASA Cross Country Team. Please don’t forget to mention ASA when they ring you up!
2/1/19 2/8/19 All School: Don’t throw away those gently used shoes! Whether they don’t fit or they’re out of style, a barefoot person in Haiti would LOVE to have them. In partnership with a nursing exchange program, ASA Recycling Club is collecting shoes to send with the nurses for Haitians to have. So clean out your closet and drop off your shoes in the grey tubs outside of Main 101 by Friday, February 8th. Thank you for supporting those in need, and keeping shoes out of landfills! Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle 🙂
